Put your spin on the Prize Cart Theme Song with the Prize Cart Remix Contest!

The Prize Cart is where motivated and eco-minded fans can earn instant prizes as the stages close every night. As headlining sets end, the Prize Cart arrives bearing gifts for those who help keep the site clean by picking up trash and turning it into the cart.

Remix winners provide the soundtrack for The Prize Cart each night as it rolls out through the festival grounds.

The contest was born in 2018 when the String Cheese Incident’s Kyle Hollingsworth wrote the original Prize Cart Theme, meant to alert the Forest Family that The Prize Cart has arrived. Long-time Forest Family member XLP was so inspired by Kyle’s catchy tune, they created their own remix of the theme.

Impressed by XLP’s creativity, HQ has hosted the Prize Cart Remix Contest ever since.

HQ is accepting remixes for consideration now. All are invited to take their own approach to the Prize Cart theme song – remix the original as a DJ, as a full band, or create your own original version – get creative!

Winners will receive Wristbands to the festival and hear their version of the Prize Cart theme song after closing sets each night.

HOW TO APPLY:

1. Step 1: Download the original Prize Cart mp3
2. Step 2: Remix the song or create an original with your personal flair, then upload it to Soundcloud
3. Step 3: Share your Prize Cart Remix with the hashtag #EF2026PrizeCartRemix on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or wherever your wild internets roam, and tag Electric Forest so we can see it!
4. Step 4: Send your remix to HQ via the application form

RULES

1. All tracks must be specifically made for this assignment
2. No AI submissions will be accepted. Entrant must submit a screenshot of the remix being created in the music production software.
3. The primary format of the Music Submission must be an mp3 uploaded to Soundcloud
4. Sponsor may elect to use the Music Submission beyond sharing it with the Forest Family
5. You must have permission or rights to any music you use for this program.
6. Electric Forest is not obligated to credit the Prize Cart Remix Contest Winner after the initial post of their remix.
7. HQ reserves the right to share the remix on EF digital media
8. HQ reserves the right to publicly list, link, or embed the remix for the EF community to view.
9. Bonus points to a remix that has a discrete sound effect or brief element that makes folks laugh.

TIMELINE

Submissions will be accepted for review starting January 20, 2026, through March 20, 2026.

SELECTION PROCESS

Judgment method: Review and Ranking of Remixes

Prize Cart Remixes will be judged on the following criteria:

• 50% Creativity
• 30% Professionalism
• 20% Forest Vibes

AWARD

• Up to Ten (10) Winners will receive the opportunity for their remix to be played where Prize Cart activates
• Prize Cart Remix Winners will be awarded one (1) GA Wristband and (1) GA Car Pass
